Motorcycle trips: the 5 most beautiful seafood itineraries in Italy
The 5 Italian destinations to the sea to be reached by motorbike:
With fins, rifle and glasses ... but in motion!
Here are the most beautiful places to visit for a beach holiday without giving up a few folds.
Summer is now upon us, and after an autumn and a spring of all colors (yellow, orange and red of Italy afflicted by Covid) the desire to go by motorbike is multiplied at exponential levels.
To satisfy it, it is good to take advantage of any possibility, and for this we are there!
Whether for a weekend on the fly or for a real holiday we give you a "selecta" of places that combine beautiful beaches and fear curves.
The Amalfi Coast
It is one of the destinations that best represents the combination "beautiful folds - beautiful beaches" and allows you to touch some of the most beautiful places not only in Italy, but in the world.
Going down from the center or from the north the first obligatory stop is to the ruins of Pompeii, to then take the SS145: a state road touches the sea between Castellammare di Stabia and Vico Equense and which after almost 25 km, where long stops can be made to visit Capri and Anacapri, leads to Sorrento.
From here comes the beauty, with the navigator pointed to the south, in fact, take the SS163: a road overlooking the sea, full of curves and suggestive even for those who want to enjoy the panorama without giving too much gas.
Also on this path the "deviations" are suggestive: you can visit the Valle delle Fernere state reserve, Praiano and Conca dei Marmi.
And after 31 km of folds you arrive in Amalfi.
Always following the SS163 you can continue towards Salerno, to lengthen a few kilometers by discovering villages rich in history and beauties such as Vietri sul Mare.
Basilicata
A region rich in splendid panoramas and unique views set between two seas. So, since we talk about sea trips, why not take advantage of it to retrace (at least in part) the steps of Rocco Papaleo and the other protagonists of "Basilicata Coast to Coast", touching the banks of the Tyrrhenian and Ionian? The starting point is Maratea, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, who looks at the Tyrrhenian Sea from the top of its rocks.
The first stop to focus on the map is Potenza, and to reach it you travel on the SS18 and SS598 also touching the Lucanian Apennine National Park, an area full of curves and fun folds. Once you arrive in the Lucanian capital, it starts again towards Matera, 116 km away and with an intermediate stage that can be made by reaching Tricarico, a municipality of Arab-Norman origin that anticipates the visit to the city of the Sassi.
Pointing south, leaving Matera, you enter the Murgia Materana park and the San Giuliano Nature Reserve that touch the state road 106. The white houses and the Pisticci Western village architecture deserve a stop, before touching the waves of the Ionian one once arrived in Policoro.
The Riviera delle Palme
Do you want to feel on the other side of the world? To re -be re -dominating the engine without too much hurry with the marine breeze to caress your skin as you were at Venice Beach? Well, you certainly don't need an intercontinental flight, just set up the navigator towards the Marche.
The southern part of the region is in fact one of the most beautiful coasts in Italy and a motorcycle trip is what it takes to find out better.
It starts from San Benedetto del Tronto, with its liberty villas and elegant hotels, focuses north and therefore towards the SS16, and among the first villages that invite you to take a break there is Grottammare, with palm trees and oranges who color the old village. Always continuing Cupra Marittima, Porto Sant’Elpidio and Finally Civitanova Marche arrive. A small forced detour to the hinterland leads us to the doors of the Conero Nature Reserve and in a few kilometers you arrive in Ancona.
The Etruscan coast
A motorcycle ride in Tuscany can be a real journey through time: the region is the cradle of ancient civilizations, and also the Sunday exit becomes a walk in an open -air museum. It starts from Piombino, instead of sailing for the "classic" island of Elba, however we continue towards the Peninsula of Populonia, full of woods and areas for camping (which is always a unique experience in motion) and from here you return Towards the olive groves and hills full of vineyards that color Suvereto. From the red of the grapes we move on to the intended green of the cypresses that rise on Bolgheri Patria by Giosuè Carducci. From here you travel to the metalliferous hills and resumed the Via Aurelia returns to the sea, with the white beaches of Rosignano Solvay and the beauties of Livorno.
Lazio
The latest itinerary is what may seem more obvious, since it is "under the house", but it can represent a quick journey to the sea, but still rich in beauties. From the capital we go to the Lido di Ostia, and then focus south: Pontine direction. The SS148 is the High Way of our journey, but the detours are not lacking to discover the most beautiful beaches in the region. From Anzio to Sabaudia, passing through San Felice Circeo and Terracina, with a final stage in Gaeta, the true jewel of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
